INSIGHT

Our lack of earthing is having a huge impact on our health.

Our bodies are highly conductive. Like the Earth, we are running on electromagnetic energy and our nervous systems act like an internal wiring that transmits signals throughout our bodies to function. Much of what makes this a fluid highway are with the aid of water, of which we are comprised of about 57-60%, and minerals, which affect our positive and negative cellular charges. The misfiring and misuse of our body’s electrical system is the catalyst for chronic health problems, which increase when we no longer have contact with the electromagnetic source (touching the ground, walking in soil, touching a tree, swimming in natural waters, frequent human touch, and my favourite -- being outside in lightening storms) that essentially created every cell in our bodies. We’ve created protective barriers against us and these fields -- from vehicles that transport our bodies to indoor living and recreation to rubber-soled shoes. We are subjugating our bodies to a lifestyle of constant short-circuiting and the need for our bodies to be their own battery, so to speak, without the connection to the Earth’s elecromagnetic fields. Research is surfacing on the relationship between our lack of “earthing” or “grounding” to poor sleep quality, chronic inflammation and free radical damage going unchecked in the body. What is a natural process of healing is now a regular process of damaging the body with modern living, without adhering to the basic chemistry of neutralizing excessive positive charges that grounding does naturally. Our health focus regarding anti-inflammation and antioxidants often lies in food choices where the reality of the situation is: we just need to dig our toes in the sand daily to battle oxidation. This is the foundation — because if our digestive organ tissues and cells are already damaged — our absorptive capacity is compromised to get all those nutrients into our systems through food alone anyways. Whereas we have these wonderful tools (our hands and feet, the most porous areas on the body along with our armpits and groin) that can suck up nutrients and currents better than you could any avocado smoothie.

How might we expose our feet to the adequate amount of currents and minerals to support our overall health?

Sleepy Feet

INNOVATION

“Sleepy Feet”

A tincture of important trace minerals needed for neural-muscular system relaxation that is sprayed onto the feet at night and covered with warming socks to induce better sleep.

  • As human beings have less exposure to Nature, sunlight and direct connection with the "ground" beneath our feet, we are deprived of the necessary trace minerals and negative ions needed for healthy nervous system and metabolic functions. This mineralized brine is a combination of trace minerals found deep within the Earth (magnesium, calcium, potassium, zinc, etc) and extracted into a highly potent formula.

  • Spraying to the feet, where we used to draw in these minerals walking more barefoot in Nature or exposed to the elements, at night when we assimilate nutrients better; allows for the body to fully relax and shut down for sleep.

  • The warming socks, made of a breathable yet heat capturing fabric, allows for the feet and lower legs to be toasty while trapping in the moisture to be adequately absorbed by the body while sleeping. Thicker socks for winter and thinner socks for summer available.
